The Tọ̀rọ̀ network is a blockchain with smart contract capabilities, and able to also support ERC20 tokens similar to blockchains such as Ethereum and Binance networks. However, unlike on those networks, there is slightly greater control over projects that may run smart contracts on the network or generate tokens. This is to ensure that only quality projects and tokens are admitted on the network.
The network is decentralized but also governed by its nodes and the Tọ̀rọ̀net Association. The decision on admitting nodes, or addition of tokens is determined by the overall members of the network by a DAO system based on the Tọ̀rọ̀ governing tokens.
This page provides a list of tokens that are generated on the network based on the network's governing rules.
Espees are stablecoins which are pegged 10:1 to Tọ̀rọ̀s. They are managed by the Espees node, which if a community based node, and one of the earliest admitted to the network. They enable members of the community using Espees to make payments and donations. They also allow members to particpate in the gradually developing future ecosystem of stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). With Espees, members can leverage thes developing assets in the new economy.
